  • I don't consider the drug user to be a victim, and I don't consider non-dependent family members or friends to be victims.

However, if the druggy has children, or the dealer is selling to people with children, they're responsible for the harm that causes to the helpless children.

Also, there's a lot of money in drug trafficking. Gangs peddle drugs, and innocents can get caught in the cross hairs of drug-related gang wars.

That being said, I'm referring to harder drugs, like meth and heroine.

More discrepancy should be made between drugs that really fuck you up like that, and weed.

    • *heroin

Also i still don't agree, because for as long as they're illegal, the government has no control over them and so these drugs are gonna continue fucking you up more and more via adulterants, laced drugs and high doses

      • I think legalizing those drugs would make their damage more widespread.

  • I think it should be illegal but penalties not as harsh. An equilibrium is needed so society can actually functions. I'm for freedom and all that shit.. but we need functioning systems and humans so there's order. I'm certain there'd be an increase in drug use in the general public if drugs in general were to be made legal.. I mean there'd be no push back.

  • You asked two seperate questions. Drugs should be decriminalized, yes it is bad for society and individuals to be locked up for touching a substance.

Abuse of all vices is a thing humans engage in. It is much better to treat than lock up.

  • Drug use isn't victimless but I support decriminalisation. I'm a borderline anorchist though so generally I think people should be able to do pretty much whatever they want.

  • To wide a spectrum for 1 reply.
    To many drugs for this.
    Coffee, nicotine, alcohol, etc.
So many ways to get high.
My standard is, if you work a steady job, pay taxes, and don't break laws to support you're habit.
It's not my business, nor should it be illegal.
BUT, if you rob someone to support your habit, or you can't hold a job because of your habit.
    THEN it's my business, it's everyone's business.
    Because you're a fuck up.
You abuse us all, that makes you a criminal.
Not the drug, but you're inability to support your habit.
The crime you commit to support your drug of choice.
That's the act I'd convict you for.

  • You have asked two related questions but to answer you should have had a poll. I personally believe drug abuse is not victimless thing. I do think though abusers need help and not to be called criminals because they are addicts. Alcoholics are addicts but just because alocohol as a drug is legal they don’t get painted as bad people.

    • Drug abuse is victimless cus, once again, no one gets harmed as a result of what you do to yourself

  • Nobody on earth doesn't do heroin just because it's illegal.
