I have a roommate on pretezone (sp?) which is a steroid. Before she was placed on this medication she had a to die for body, she was, and is, a fitness instructor, vegan plus she has celiac disease (cannot eat gluten – bread, pasta etc). She cannot cheat on her diet or she will be hospitalized. She has gained A LOT of what doctors call “fluid”. I live with this person, so I can attest to medical conditions making someone gain water weight. She will be on this steroid for a long time (at least a few more years). I once thought the same as some of you guys who think that all overweight people are lazy; I am now ashamed of those past thoughts. At the end of the day, you don’t really know what someone else’s life is like until you live their life – so be kind . Plus, I think all of this negativity towards obese people is just insecurity being redirected.
Is anyone else sick of all the stories about hating fat people?
