I'm certainly not unafraid of flying insects that sting people, but I love honeybees for obvious reasons. I used to be married to someone who was allergic to wasp stings which automatically made me the designated scary flying insect killer.
Despite his other numerous faults he was good about this, because he assumed responsibility for dealing with roaches.
