Is a non-sexual obsession with blood/bleeding normal?

In short, whenever I even think about bleeding at all, I get this adrenaline boost. It's crazy, with about half a minute of thinking time I can feel ready to run a marathon.

I've been cutting a bit to try and get some good feels (blood running, drinking it) but I haven't gone too far, my cuts basically clot themselves in a minute or two. When I find myself bleeding (especially from an accident) I get super pumped, to the point where hiding it from others is actually hard

Anyway, is the feeling of running blood or drinking blood giving a massive adrenaline boost normal? Should I try and control my urges to cut more?

Please stop doing this! You're training your brain to be stimulated every time you cut yourself and this can't end well

Really shouldn't make it a habit to bleed. Sound like you just enjoy self-stimulation and the threat of, maybe a little visual, blood. When I had braces, I had a habit of flipping my upper or bottom lip into them so they (the lip) would catch onto the brace, and flick back. Got to a point I had a little, tiny divot in each lip, which then became drawing a hint of blood when I did it. My aim wasn't the blood, it was catching my lip onto the brace for self-stimulation.At times, though, I did take satisfaction in getting that little breach of blood, just because.

My boyfriend is pretty into drinking blood when um going at it so I mean I don't know if it's normal but it's certainly out there, don't know how well that compares to yours though

Cutting yourself isn't normal. Get an adrenaline boost a healthier way.

That sounds unrealistic to me, that being said I don’t believe it to be normal. If you are experiencing such urges, try to redirect them to something more desireable. I don’t mean to criticize by the way, even if I sound like it.
