  • Of course it’s not a sandwich. If it’s sausages between 2 slices of bread it’s a ‘sausage sandwich’. A hot dog is a sausage jn a roll, totally different.

    • If you put a sausage between two slices of bread, it's a hot dog.
      This is because buns or "roll" what you call it is a type of bread.

      Thus a hot dog is a type of sandwich.
      A sausage sandwich is just a odd kind of hot dog.

              • That was just an example. If you want to stick to bread products a panini is made from bread, but you wouldn’t call a regular sandwich a panini.
