That's what I was referring to....not necessary, and it will backfire. Firstly, the bartender is going to see you as their 'payday' and not so much as a friend or cool person. I'd do a heck of a lot more for a person who tipped properly and was cool, nice and polite over someone who thought they could buy service. Then what happens on nights when you're short on cash, and you don't tip like usual? The bartender starts to think 'well, the money's dried up, so fuck this guy...' Just tip normal and avoid all that. Nobody likes an ass kisser.
Is a dollar per each 5-8 dollar drink a good tip? (Alcohol)
