Yes, 14 is an age where you 100% no excuses know right from wrong .. The child either refuses to listen, has a mental problem, or is being abused!!!
Now if the 14 YO is being spanked for little things like losing his keys or forgetting to take out the trash, that is just considered abuse a parent should be able to handle the situation better..
