Mine is actually about 7.25", and I know damn well that guys in porn have much bigger ones than me. If I believed that those guys were "average", I would feel pretty inadequate. Only after I had several girlfriends tell me they liked mine did I start to believe that I was adequate. At first I thought they were just being nice, but eventually I started to believe them.
So, size matters since it affects how you feel about it, but it doesn't matter in how it works.
