Intrusive thoughts, iin?

No matter how hard I try, I can't keep certain thoughts out of my head. I can't control what goes into my mind. The voices going through my brain are saying awful things, and terrible pictures float through my consciousness. I don't know whether or not I'm a racist, or a pedophile, but either way, I don't know what thoughts are my own, and which are manifestations of someone else's being. IIN?

What you have could very well be Harm OCD. If you do, it's totally benign and there are very effective treatments for it. Set yourself up with a psychotherapist and buy a few books on Harm OCD.

the mind works in mysterious ways. You need to get that stuff out and not bottle it up. I'm fortunate as an artist I channel the darkness into my work :)

  • You may not be able to stop thoughts occurring but you can change your perspective. I find the media in general can give out a lot negativity that can spark imaginations. I spend a lot of time looking on youtube at cats for example to remind myself theres more to the word then all the negative stuff

I believe they are spirits, I've experienced things like that before. Don't think about it to often, but focus on doing good and productive things instead. I don't think they can really thrive in a person where love also dwells. You have my best wishes.

Most likely electrical and static, that would be my best guess.

Do you mean 'static' as in static electricity or static as in static space?

Electricity. It's a personal but also shared theory/belief.

Incorrect. Please read and understand the article provided, such that we can have a mutually agreeable conversation on electricity.
Further to this, please try to study the role that electricity plays in the brain and nervous system.

I feel an intrusive though to jump in front of tube trains when I'm on the platform.

I don't want to kill myself, and never would actually do it (infact people who do, anger me as they delay the whole capital and cause the drivers so much distress). But it crosses my mind.

The mind can be a very strange thing. It is your job to learn to control it. Just keep the pedophile-ish and racist stuff to yourself. Do not let them manifest in the real world.

It's totally normal. I suggest you to keep yourself busy and try to get 8 hours of sleep every night. A good night's sleep is the best medicine. If the problem still persists, try talking to a friend whenever you are having these thoughts.

  • We all have an internal dialogue, but yours is apparently seperate to your consciousness.

Your life is going to be hilarious to say the least.

I seem to have similar problems. I get a lot of thoughts and images floating through my mind that I REALLY do not want. I find myself mentally screaming at myself to shut up. Sometimes even hitting myself to 'snap out of it' It's not always like this, sometimes it is very manageable but other times it feels like there is someone else in my head feeding this stuff in just for the hell of it.

I would meditate on the issue. Tell your subconcious that you don't want these thoughts (regardless of their origin) and that you want them to go away. Tell your subconcious that you don't want these thoughts and feelings to be part of you and that they aren't part of you. The trick to this would be that you have to BELIEVE that what you are telling your subconcious is true, because you can't lie to yourself. If you cannot believe what you are saying, you might as well accept these things as part of who you are until you can make that change.

You may also try what's called an "affirmation". It's a phrase you repeat over and over to achieve the desired results. Try to phrase it in the present tense as if you had already achieved your goal. For example, instead of "I want these thoughts to go away.", try saying "These thoughts are not part of who I am." or something to that extent.

    Good luck! Many blessings!!! ^_^
