Totally normal, even with drugs I don't like for myself it's awesome to learn about them and see what they do to people. There are a lot of good drug movies out there too if you're interested, and documentaries.
If you're interested in hallucinogens, I'd recommend trying LSD or shrooms, since they're generally safe, fun, and have no addictive potential. Pcp though.. I wouldn't recommend anyone fool around with angel dust, it does crazy things to people.
Once at a rave, some guy did pcp, got naked, and ran around biting people. One of my friends had to go to the hospital and get all those shots you have to get after being bitten cus he broke the skin. And ive heard many other storied about people getting violent or engaging in cannibalism... XD
