  • I'll be 50 years old on the 14th of November, and I don't have kids either. I guess I am alright. I suppose I do, on occasion, regret not having had kids, but it's okay. I don't think that my relationship status, nor the fact that I'm childless defines me.

    • If you got pregnant now would you be happy? I would be, even though I dont have a man. I see my little sister grow up, I was 21 when she was born and it makes me sad I have no one to call me mom or anybody to leave my things when I die.

      • Nope, I wouldn't feel right having a kid at fifty.

        • I knew a woman that got pregnant at 56 and her little boy was wonderful.

          • ... and when he's twenty she'll be 76 years old. Your friend is the exception, and not the rule.

I don't think I have the energy, or inclination for that sort of responsibility at this stage in my life.

            How old are you?

            • I'm 44, I could still do it. I'm healthy, but you're right if I had a kid now he/she would be 20 I'd be 64

              • It's up to you, it's your life, but when you bring a baby into it that's another person for whom you will be responsible. If that's what you want then I hope it happens soon, and goes smoothly.
