In which of these countries would you rather teach english?

I've done my homework and discovered which countries pay the most money teaching English. I need to pick one of them because I have mounds of student loans to pay off, and I've read about several people who've paid off ALL of their debts and student loans teaching English anywhere from 2 to 5 years in these countries. Which one would you rather teach in? If you could, list them in order from greatest preference to least preference.

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

  • Japan is way too expensive to save money working there.
All the Arab countries are too restrictive. China might work, but you'd have to watch your P&Q's there.
South Korea was fun, but a lousy climate. Taiwan is also pretty expensive as is Hong Kong.
That pretty much leaves Vietnam, a really beautiful country that's still pretty cheap, open and friendly to Westerners.

  • A city is where you can sign a petition, boo the chief justice, fish off a pier, gaze at a hippopotamus, buy a flower at the corner, or get a good hamburger or a bad girl at 4 A.M. A city is where sirens make white streaks of sound in the sky and foghorns speak in dark grays. Seoul is such a city.
