Society will tell you that because you're a minor you don't know your own mind, don't understand the consequences of your actions (despite the fact that you'll be many years over the age of criminal responsibility) and that you can't have a voice because all you need is protection from yourself and the evil sexual predators that all us adults (particularly males) are. Of course, you're smart enough to see through that nonsensical narrative. You do know your own mind, your own feelings.
That said, it would be wise to wait until you're no longer a student or until she is no longer a teacher. Not because of the age of consent, which is in any case a prohibition on sexual activity, not romance, but because there are professional codes of conduct involved. Err on the side of caution, but don't be cowed into thinking that love can't exist between a teen and an adult.
Hey there.. Thank you very much for your words..
I am not a native speaker of English so I have to ask you what exactly did you mean by 'there are professional codes of conduct involved.' and which are these codes?
