I have loved my cousin since I was in high school, we both went on to marry other people and have families, but the past few years we have reconnected and had gotten very close,... This past year we talked about our feelings and knew and said we were in love... We began a relationship , but it ended a few months ago because his 72 yr. old mother (my aunt) found out and it wasn't a good reaction... We are both 50 and love each other , and life goes by fast happiness is what matters most to me... But he's afraid of what others will say based on his mothers reaction... I love him with all my heart and miss him so much... I'm happy that you had a good outcome :)
