Parents can still love their children and still react negatively to the news, especially if it cones as a surprise. Please understand that if the react poorly, it might be the shock factor - they likely had different dreams and goals for you. Give then some time to come around and hopefully they will end up accepting you, even if they are unhappy or disagree with your lifestyle.
Please remember that you have had time to sit with this information and it's up to you to decide when and to whom you come out to. Your parents will likely need time to process this new information and to cone to terms with it also.
Basically what I am trying to say is please don't think that they don't truly love you if you don't get the response you were hoping for initially.
