        In most Europenean countries as long as they are both adults is not a crime.
        Depending on some factual issues, like children for instance civil marriage is possible.
        The same for first cousins.
        I'm not saying I agree with it. I'm saying the law is fair for the children out of those relations. Before those children were stigmatized. Therefore they can move to another city and nobody knows.

          its allowed for first cousins, not for niece/uncle or nephew/aunt, bec. they are to closely related. Well if they don't make children, pff. and everybody is adult, I dont know if it should be allowed - pff, I am not a highly moral instance (having a boy friend who is married, ehm)

            I never said it was legal. I said is not a crime if you are an adult, not punished by law. is punished by law if you are underage.
            Also is true that as adults depending on certain circumstances civil marriage is possible. Therefore children from those relations are not stigmatized by society.
            Notary offices, I guess its the name, are free to evaluate the situation and decide what to do.
            Punished by law as underage and not punished as adults.
            This laws were never changed since centuries. Therefore many monarchs married their niece in many European countries for convenience, political mainly.
            I'm not here defending anything, not my opinion also coz I find it not correct.
            I'm just saying how it is.
            Cousins can merry in Catholic Church in most countries. They are not many forbidding it.
