If your current situation is that you have no option but to live with homophobic religious nuts, then I guess you just have to accept that. If you find this situation very difficult to deal with - and I know I would - then the best thing you can do is try to work towards getting away as soon as you can. It may be necessary for you to bite your tongue and listen to the BS in silence in order to maintain some degree of domestic tranquillity. My experience is that it's impossible to persuade religious whack-jobs that they're wrong, so there's no point in even trying. Maybe they'll see sense someday, but it's not your job to try to make that happen.
Send your cousin a nice card and say you're sorry you can't be with them on their special day. As a relative, he's probably well aware of the situation, and he won't blame you.
