That's awful, that poor dog. I bet he was pretty tore up about it.
I'm thinking exactly that, of getting two. I feel like I'd be much less worried about leaving them at home if they could keep each other company. The extra cost would be worth it, and hopefully we will be at a point where we can afford it by then. I may not get two of the same, but the dalmatian will definitely be my main dog.
You should definitely get one! I looked at greyhounds after you mentioned that, and honestly, they look like a good breed for me to consider as well. I've always thought that they looked a little weird, but I think I'd get over that lol.
The rottweiler and australian shepherd were WAY back in the day. I was probably around 5 years old lol. My dad has had a few dogs when I still lived with him, that's probably what you are remembering. One of them was a redbone hound rescue dog. She had some bad habits, because of how old she was when we got her, which were quite annoying sometimes.
