If you're going out with a girl because you find her personality and her appearance attractive, then there's really nothing else to consider.
What you find attractive may not conform to everybody else's expectations, but as long as it's legal and you're happy, who cares?
It doesn't sound like you go for 'ugly girls' because of low self esteem since you've just bragged about being handsome and how you are very confident in yourself. The only thing you don't seem to be confident about is following your own sense of attraction.

Don't date girls you don't like. You'll just be rightly labelled a prick if you lead on people you're not interested in.
