Tell them. They won't get upset or stop loving you. Saying something about it will be reassuring & show them that you can acknowledge what you're doing and you don't like it. Then you will have their support while trying to quit your habit. I've known people that can't help lying for absolutely no reason. And it was very obvious they were doing it. But judging by your post, you seem like you will be able to stop. :D
