I'd be devastated. All the hormones, risky surgeries, never having children, the attention you'll get, the change of character that goes with hormones. The risk of cancers, osteoporosis. 6 or 7 surgical procedures, the surgical revisions you'll probably have to have ....
Transgender is serious life changing and risky.
givw them some understanding too and they might be more understanding themselves
