Is it normal when i cry my eyes burn like fire?

I can't cry for any reason or it's excruciating. That means when I have tears because say I'm sick it's also extremely painful. Whenever there are tears it feels like my eyes are on fire and it's extremely painful. I do wear glasses so I tend to have eye problems.
