Is it normal we do things when my family is around but not when we are alone?

Here's a weird story, I'm 18, my boyfriend is 18 also and we want to have sex, but the first time that we planned to do it it all got wrong, so we didn't do it. It was the perfect day to do it but the both of us were too shy or nervous or I don't know. We were alone the whole day but still it didn't felt right.
Now,when he visits me at my house when my whole family is upstairs we started doing "things" and we both get turn on so quickly, I said that with my family in the house is more fun, because we don't know when someone is going to arrived, and he says that it's exciting.
We started talking about having sex but I don't know if I'm sure, specially because the first time we planned it it didn't worked and I don't know if that was a signal that we don't have to do it right now.
Is it normal that I feel this way? That lately we're getting turn on and we feel so hot doing things but we are afraid to have sex?

    If you're not sure then don't do it, also don't put too much planning into it. Just say "i'm ready" to him and when the time is right and you're both in the mood then go for it.

    itdefinitely is more exciting to do stufff with people around, but hey, if youre not fully ready and you know and feel that, do not do anything at all.

    Before you start, are you on birth control and does he have condoms with him? Make certain those things have been discussed.

    Possibly you both could start with the foreplay while at your families home, but then make plans to go to a motel room following your foreplay so that you can be together for the first time.

    The thrill of the possibility of being caught could be exciting, but not the best idea for a first experience. If you are both so nervous, wait... when the time is right... things will happen smoothly.

    too bad you don't have a car and go park somewhere instead? atleast if you get caught its less embarrassing if your family caught you in person... or, do it at a friends house!

    i have a problem last night i was very hot and i put my fingure into hole and its go inside easily but after this act i have a little bit pain but i'am confuse how fingure can go inside without opening hole because i never do this act ever... please suggest i'am still virgin or not
