Is it normal for girls to search engagement rings? I'm not wanting to propose to him I hope one day/year he'd propose to me but I love dreaming. Is that normal to look at engagement rings?

The past couple months I've really started to fall hard for my significant other. So much so that the thought of him proposing to me earlier today made me shed a tear of happiness and that was just thinking about it. Think I might die if it ever happens for real. Not ready to get married for a few years though. If that makes sense. (I'm at uni so both can't financially put the time or money into a wedding until graduating)

    I suppose it's rather normal, even if I can't relate to it personally. To me it seems more like a mere social convention than an actual expression of love and devotion... but that's just me.
