Iin2want to listen to a cd of yourself, but hate your recorded voice?

I normally cannot stand hearing my voice on a recording, but I have a CD of the performance I did at a music festival during my year abroad. I listen to it sometimes, partly because of nostalgia for how much I enjoyed my time out there, but also because I think I sound OK.

(Even with being able to hear when I've made a blip or not had enough breath for a line).

I've only made my mum listen to it so far, but I'd like to make copies to send to family and friends as well when I get round to it.

This reminds me of a CD that a friend gave me, of some guy she knows singing. His voice sounds like a drugged squirrel. Lmao!

Everyone told me that I'm the worst singer ever but I listen to myself singing and I think I sound good.

i had the same problem, i think i have an acceptible singing voice and i love singing all the time. but the one time i made a recording of it for a girl and i listened to it, i just couldnt send it, it was too crappy. i was like i dont sound that crappy, and i even lost a lil confidence in my singing afterwards. =/

That's probably because your voice doesn't sound the way you think it does.

No one really does because.... your voice doesn't sound like the voice you have in your head, and it doesn't sound like your voice when you speak because you hear it through your bones rather than through your ears
