Is it normal to write romance story even though never been in a relationship

I am single and have never been in a relationship but write short romance story for fun. I learn and insert the elements of romance in my story based on novels, tv shows, movies and video games instead of writing it based on an actual romantic relationship which I never get into before. Is it normal?

    I've written about acrobatic assassins meanwhile I can barely do a cartwheel and have never killed a person, so yes, you seem perfectly normal.

    A lot of the stuff writers write about they have little to no personal experience in, and obtain inspiration less directly. And with romance especially, there are a lot of sources of inspiration.
