What Moomus said, I think it is purely a societal thing. If we go back in history we see a large amount of men engaging in homosexuality aswell as heterosexuality, more so than women.
Society is awkward in how it glorifies lesbianism as "sexy" (I feel the opposite about it, but meh), where as male homosexuality is "disgusting".
Males are shamed for homosexual acts more than females, by far.
I would be willing to bet that if we take away all of how society treats men and women engaging in homosexuality, we'd see a large increase in men engaging in homosexuality after a while, if not more than women.
True, men tend to be alot more hush, hush about their same sex relationships or exprimenting then women are...Why?, Because I think men find it exciting and part of the rush,is to keep things on the downlow...?
