In many respect I agree with you, you're gonna get a lot of complaining cat people though.
They would say very much the same thing though: dogs are too rambunctious and busy, cats are subtle and calm.
It's a view, stand by yours, repect those of others. I'm both a dog and cat person, however I lead a busy, active life, so a dog would be my first choice (maybe a late night movie in bed with the cat). :)
