Is it normal to wax your legs using duct tape?

First time waxing my legs.

I've used duct tape because hair removal wax is super expensive.

People don't seem to advertise that this can actually be done, and that the final result isn't that bad. Of course duct tape doesn't remove every last hair; I just want to do the bare minimum to not look like a hairy ape in public now that spring has sprung and bare legs are a thing once again. Besides, I'm single, and nobody is going to be inspecting me with a microscope.

Is there a reason why people don't talk about doing this, though?

I for sure won't be doing my underarms this way, because that would probably hurt.

Are you that idiot that put Gorilla Glue in your hair?

    • No. I'm just pragmatic. And I already know what duct tape feels like when it's ripped off skin, and it's not as painful as that time I tried to wax my bikini line with the dedicated bikini waxing strips.

  • Why is this being voted 'no' by everyone? It works and it doesn't hurt... at least, not on the lower legs.

It isn't normal. It doesn't matter if it's good, and it doesn't matter if it works; it only matters if it's normal.

I haven’t shaved my legs in years. They’re super smooth to the touch.

I always just ignored the leg hair really, I don't think it should be an "obligation" to remove something everybody naturally comes with, and its seen as more bad on girls than boys for whatever reason. Of course we still should practice good hygiene

    • I'd like to be that much of a rebel but people judge and I need credibility.
