My great husband loves when I dress nicely. He especially loves when I wear nice blouses or shirts, the kind which button up. He loves seeming a peek of my breasts or sexy bra. Often I wear my tops knotted or unbuttoned to feel sexy and hint or him what may lie underneath :) I've had this urge to wear them in bed and ask that he rip them open during climax. I think this would be so exciting and erotic. I am somewhat reluctant to ask him for some reason. I have lots of shirts to spare and wonder if this is over the top or if this is a common desire. I would so love being made love to while hearing the buttons pop and shirt rip open.

    Ripping clothes during sex is a very common practice. Other than incurring the cost of replacing clothing, there's no down side to the practice.

    It actually send a strong message to your partner (assuming they consent) that they are seen as very hot and desirable.

    Pretty normal. Wanting him to rip your clothes off is you wanting to feel highly desired/irresistible to him.

    I don't ask my daughters, I just rip away. doesn't matter if it is school clothes, pajamas, dresses, swimwear, even winter wear. I tear up their clothes and they take it. They mostly giggle and rip back if I let them.

      I'm not expert. You could just be frank with him. But how he would take it depends on the sort of person he is. Maybe you could try watching movies where the man is assertive/dominant over the female in during romantic/love-making scenes, and playfully hint then that you're turned on by it.
