Nope buddy. every animal have its own wildness. If you let it go, it will find its own food. Petting them just hide their wildness. But buddy, killing is not the option :) If you let it go, it will survive. And please search someone, who can adopt it. It has fear for his own life just as like as yours.. :) I hope you can understand it. But, if you kill it, for GOD'S SAKE, I guaranty you, you feel so much guilty and this guiltiness will not leave you untill your death. So, please buddy...

NO. LETTING IT GO IS ALSO NOT AN OPTION. THE POOR CAT WILL BE HUNGRY AND CONFUSED ON ITS OWN.

I'm not the OP. But I have had to feed and rescue and rehome other people's abandoned, neglected cats. It's very sad.
