    I would rather be like that rather than not wear make up and be ugly.

      That's my whole point. You only think you are ugly without the make up. It's really the make up that makes you ugly.
      How do you think a guy feels when he wakes up next to the real you in the morning, after your make up (the fake you) has come off?
