In the name of all that's holy and sacred in this world, DO NOT, (I repeat), DO NOT PURSUE A CAREER IN SECURITY!! :O It sucks BIG TIME!! Trust me, it's not worth it. It doesn't matter what promises management gives you during the interview. "We'll start you at 15 an hour" or "20 an hour"... Bullshit! They'll say that, but when you actually get to the site, they'll say "Oh, well the site only pays 10 an hour". And you'll see it on your check. Big difference. And security management/supervisors are always a bunch of douchbags anyway. They all act like they're ex military but I know they're not. They just like being in charge because the company gave them their positions. There was only one supervisor I respected and that was because he respected me. He knew how fucked up the clients at my job site were and he couldn't stand their bullshit either. For the record, I worked security for Social services in New Haven for 6 years. Yeah... do the math. It sucked. And now I work at a Yale building with snobby people who act just like the state social workers. Gee... I must have fucking pissed somebody off in a former life because history seems to be repeating! >:(
