When I worked for some popular rock bands in the 60's, several of my musicians would be so nervous before a performance that they would throw up. These were professional musicians, headlining some pretty big shows and yet every time they performed, they were incredibly nervous. They were fine once on stage and the music began, though.
If this (performing) is something you would like to do, then you will have to take control and do it. You may always have "stage fright" and it may be hell every time before a performance, but let me assure you that the rewards (and I'm not talking about money here) are well worth the agony.
Good luck and I hope one day to hear you sing.
IIN to want something SO much, but lack of confidence holds you back?
