Is it normal to treat renter/lodger this way

To demand 3 whole paychecks to live there. To not allow them to eat anything in the house or dinner made in the house but force them to pay for food bills as well as buy more additional food for themselves. Having extremely violent outbursts and when complained about it state "I own the property and I can act whatever way I damn well please". Then if they complain kick them out for threatening to report the violent behavior? I mean like when you rent a room in a house people are already live in. I guess its technically called a lodger.
