Is it normal to time journeys so you have as little waiting as possible?

I live in a city and have an app on my smartphone which means I can have a lot more freedom of choice and independence on journeys that I would otherwise have.

However, I realise I am incredibly lucky to be able to do this and know that I'm in a minority

I think you mean you have an app on your phone that you like messing with to pass the time.

No, that isn't what I mean.

From my house, to get to various places, I have two buses, a tram line and places I can walk.

I will choose whether to bus or tram or walk depending on how much waiting time there is and will. Go for the route with the shortest waiting time. I use City mapper - the app I am talking about - to help me decide

Are you saying you have the ability to time travel and all you use it for is to avoid waiting in lines?
