Is it normal to think you're going to ruin every friendship or relationship?

I struggle with groups of people and only have a couple of close friends, but anytime we fight I turn it all on myself and think everyone would be better off without me as a friend. I always think everything is my fault.

  • Normal but harmful.

  • It definitely sounds like you have some self esteem issues to address.

That being said, nothing is permanent, and relationships end. If you're as old and jaded as I am, you start to look for the end. Don't submit to a self- fulfilling prophecy and simply enjoy the time you are given.

  • No, it's not normal. You have confidence issues that need to be addressed. I'm also seeing signs of social anxiety.

  • I feel the same, but more like everyone else ruins it, and it's my fault for trying when I am probably better off without any friends :I
