Is it normal to think that the nasa shuttle launch is a giant money grab?

The delay being russa wants to go up also and for 1s the US thought they would be nice and say ok Ahahaha jerks.!

Well. Some people would probably pay to see another "Challenger" disaster, but, not I. For once, I agree with Valkeer in that there is probably a very good reason for the delay.

NASA doesn't exist to entertain you sport.

They are a serious organization and if they put off a launch date it's for a very good reason.

I know the pay alot more them 10000 to send sit up just saying lol things that make ya go hmmmmmm and I paid $2000+ whatever spending $$ for my dad and I to go down for 4days... It's the one thug he realley has always wanted to do and stuff happened last year that make me think he's not goin to be around alot longer it just would of been nice... I'm sorry you've been inconvenienced but NASA aren't Disney. Your entertainment is a secondary (or tertiary) concern to their main business, as opposed to being their main business.

The Russian and American space programmes are something that have long fascinated me, and I can say that launch dates change at the drop of a hat for a multitude of reasons. In fact, the Americans would have had the first man in space were it not for Von Braun calling for extra testing and another unmanned launch. If NASA would changes the dates even when something as prestigious as having the first man in space is involved, I'm sure they'd risk upsetting a few spectators.

As I said at the start of this, I'm sorry you've been inconvenienced and I'm sure this is important to you, but this is the real world.

How much is it to go down there? Plus i think NASA have bigger things to worry about than pissing a few spectators off.

Maybe their reason to postpone the launch was due to safely/technical issues - If something was to fail it could actually cost more to resolve.

And no, spectators are not important in the big scheme of things. That shuttle and the mission cost them millions. They're not going to rush things out of fear that they'll inconvenience a few people.
