Is it normal to think that sex education should be taught like this?

- Make them watch gory Birth videos.

- Make them watch videos of actual sex.

- Make them see Dora and Frozen on a endless loop.

- Have them mess a entire room up with toys and garbage and make them repeatedly clean it up.

- Make them read Scary Mommy confessions and "I Regret My Kids" posts in order to see that Parenthood is not all Kodak moments and truly not for everyone.

and

- Make them tend to actual babies for 6 weeks.

If we do all of this, I guarantee that we'll be seeing a lot less teen parents. Although, it'd probably result in less parents in general.

    In my class we had to watch some very gory videos see all the effects of stds. We also got a baby that we had to carry around for a month. It was set up to cry at random for random lengths of time. You would have to turn a key in it's back until it stopped crying. Most miserable month of my life.

      My kids never got away with that. I took them out to the car and spanked them and didn't take them out to the store again for several months. They knew how to behave the next time they went out in public!

    I see where you are going with this and it's an interesting theory however , I didn't quite understand why the "make them watch actual sex" option was in there for ? what's that have to do with preventing teen pregnancy ? Sex feels good and appeals to our natural chemistry so watching it would only make them aroused and watch to go fuck . I can only speculate that you mean watch videos of lovers using protection , how to use it properly and the benefits . I understand what you are pointing out and I do tend to agree , sexual education is currently a joke and very outdated .
