    It is true that the US has been going downhill in an economic sense since the 70s, but Regan didn't really halt that trend.

      Clinton actually got us going again, but Dubya screwed it up again and made it 50 times worse.

        Sure, but Obama is going to almost double the amount of deficit created by Bush.

        Debt increase at the end of Bush's two terms was 5.8 trillion.

        Debt increase at the end of 2014 by Obama is 6.2 trillion and he's still has two more years to account for.

        I'll agree that Bush did the economy no favors, but Clinton wasn't great, either. It was during his tenure we had the repeal of the Glass-Steagall act.
