  • Thats hilarious. I was madly in love with someone last year and absolutely didn't want to marry this woman at all. I wasnt sexually attracted to her and did not view her as a potential life partner at any point during our relationship.

I really like the idea of marrying a nice guy that I get along with, that agrees with me on how to raise children (this is crucial just in case he gets me pregnant), and seems like a good partner. I would probably fall in love with him after getting married to him because I would be so happy I found a great guy. Thats the kind of marriage I would like to have, if I do get married.

    • Well that's you. Most people marry for love. There are other reasons, yeah, everyone has their own gig, this is just the undeniable majority.

      • Being in love just doesnt seem like a reason to get married. The whole idea of getting married just because you are in love gives me the creeps. Isnt the whole point of marriage having a committed life partner?

I feel like I view things the opposite of how society views them. If I have feelings of passion for someone I usually want to be friends with them (having a close relationship without sex or living together).

I hope I find someone who feels the same way. Maybe some day.
