It's normal how you view marriage now because of the situation you went through. It won't be normal if you view marriage like this your whole life. As soon as you fall in love, you'll want to get married for that reason.
Thats hilarious. I was madly in love with someone last year and absolutely didn't want to marry this woman at all. I wasnt sexually attracted to her and did not view her as a potential life partner at any point during our relationship.
I really like the idea of marrying a nice guy that I get along with, that agrees with me on how to raise children (this is crucial just in case he gets me pregnant), and seems like a good partner. I would probably fall in love with him after getting married to him because I would be so happy I found a great guy. Thats the kind of marriage I would like to have, if I do get married.
Being in love just doesnt seem like a reason to get married. The whole idea of getting married just because you are in love gives me the creeps. Isnt the whole point of marriage having a committed life partner?
I feel like I view things the opposite of how society views them. If I have feelings of passion for someone I usually want to be friends with them (having a close relationship without sex or living together).
I hope I find someone who feels the same way. Maybe some day.
iin to think marrying for love is stupid

Well that's you. Most people marry for love. There are other reasons, yeah, everyone has their own gig, this is just the undeniable majority.
