Is it normal to think game stop should be able to stay open?

Essential retailers are still open but many have shortened hours.
Game stop was arguing that THEY are "Essential".

Well, I don't think they are, however, as most video game nerds are typically isolated nerds that sit at home rotting away on video games anyways, they are not likely to have covid-19, nor any STD for that matter since whacking off to anime is STD-free.

    Liquor stores are closing by me and those are way more essential than video games. If the goal is to prevent people going to hospitals unecessarily the worst thing to do is create a bunch of physical detox patients

      No kidding.

      I tell you who "essential retail" is though, according to good ol Uncle Sam - multi-billion dollar companies.

      This whole covid thing was just invented to fuck over small business.

          Like it is bad enough to scare an entire planet but not enough to get in the way of the super wealthy.

          I guess it is true - money talks, BS walks.

          Strange thing though - Simon Properties, the owner of several malls, has temporarily closed all their properties.

            Every place where groups of people can congregate is closed in my state. Bars, malls, restaurants, everything but places to buy food and gas. We're on Mad Max levels of economy right now.

    I'm glad that the CBD store/head shop is still open! I just found out that some guy smashed a window, and tried to rob them a few nights ago, but the owner, an Iraq war veteran who was in the 101st Airborne, apprehended the robber. I really hope we don't start seeing an upswing in crime. I hope that the world changes, and becomes a better place after this pandemic is done.

      The eternal question. Save for nostalgic things like LPs or whatever.

      I think Game Stop should have a section selling acne medication and shaving supplies. I imagine a lot of zitso's and neck beards frequent the place.
