Is it normal to think anything i write is never good?

I’m a hobbyist writer. I usually write Fanfiction and post it online, usually is say. I even rarely finish my stories or never let them see the light of day, I always feel like they’re bad. I know my grammar isn’t perfect and I suffer from perfectionism so that certainly doesn’t help.

But, I always feel like I’m second-rate to other writers. My friend who I share unfinished work with always says it’s good, but she’s biased now and while a lot of people have read and liked the stories I publish, I fear im not good enough.

I know thecommon saying amongst us creative types is “you are your worst critic,” and all, but am I really just being hard on myself?

    So do what I do is practice on this site. Got a world-wide audience for the characters I invent. I also have an 18,000 word count for an E books project I'm working on. Hang in there dude. It ain't easy being cheesy. Good luck kindred spirit!

    based on what you wrote here it seems like you are a good writer but just a little boring. I nearly fell asleep twice reading your post and had to force myself to finish.
