I would say it's a little bit of both, since a lot of women act like they're so different from men, and how there are physical differences between male and female brains which, combined with social influences and conditioning, causes the genders to behave in ways that are considered socially acceptable to conform culturally. But as humans there are some things we all go through and have experienced in our lives, so I guess noticing the commonalities between the genders also kind of highlights the differences. When I find a woman attractive I pay attention to how I perceive her to be similar to me, whether in terms of mind, body, or soul, but I am also fascinated by the ways I perceive her to be different from me, whether those differences are biological in nature, or cultural, cosmetic, or her own unique sense of style and individuality.
Huh, well that is a refreshingly thoughtful and quite insightful way to look at gender differences, and I do think the whole thought process is healthy. I don't personally find the need to focus on basic biological grossness to get it done, but if that's what works for you, then that's what works. Hearing more about your thoughts doesn't make me think that you have an unhealthy approach to things, so carry on.
