Is it normal to tell my mom i'm bi?

I'm actually gay I told my friends and older sister, they all were accepting about it. I just told my mother to break the ice so that she knows I will end up with a dude. I just don't want to make anything more awkward than they need to be. I plan to just let my dad find out when it happens or when I move away to university.

    He isn't confused. He is saying he is gay but wants to break it gently to his mum and say he his bi.

    I'm confused? Are you confused too? Are you bisexual or gay? Wait until you know for sure until you come out. Be honest. If you tell them that you're bi when you're gay, they'll think you're confused. Are you sure that your mom would be okay with it?

    One of my good friends has always thought of himself as gay but at first he told everyone he was bi. Honesty is generally the best policy, but I can understand why you would want to say that you're bi for now.

      Well, if you really wanted the most failproof way, you could tell people that you're panromantic. Then you have time to decide what you prefer, if you prefer, and if you have a sexual preference and what that is.
