    You should not feel ashamed for that. Friends will too know about others ex-factors and unsung hidden stories. Rather who knows they may have unsual tales and fetishes which are keen to erupt like a magma as it is in volcanic eruption when tectonic plates get apart (METAPHOR). There are some things which can't be asked orally but can be explicitly convey by print or visual media. It will get better( than the best) platform.(beyond your HAMLET)
