If you want relaxation, try something natural. It will save you from those nasty side effects of pharmaceuticals, which is not to say that going herbal can't have some side-effects because they can. Still, they are better to take. Just properly research into the side-effects before you take. I would suggest valerian root, but it completely knocks you out. You are sound asleep until you wake up a period of time later...
I've been in autism therapy with my brother and counseling (issued by the court) for about a year now, and I've been taking Abilify for almost just as long. I started at 2 mg, and now I'm at 7 mg. It took effect after about 2 weeks, and I do see a difference and feel a little ore social and less anxious, but I feel like it's just not enough. I know that medication can take time, such as months, to actually get going and for your body to get used to it. However I quit taking it. I remember taking melatonin, because I know it's natural. I only slept for about 4-5 hours, then I woke up and was wide awake for about 3 hours, then had difficulty falling back asleep. My psychiatrist prescribed me a sleeping medication, even though I said I don't need it. I took it once, but really I can fix my sleeping pattern on my own. I've done it for years, and it only takes me 2-3 days. I just prefer to sleep on my own. I guess I hate things that aid sleep, unless I really want/need to sleep. Oh, and the Focalin's effect has almost, if not completely, worn off and I feel very tired now and more sane and like myself. So, if I take it in the morning, by the end of the day, I'll be asleep early and get more sleep. I dunno how long that'll last though.
IIN to take Focalin to feel high?
