i saw on tyra that it's actually cleaner to sit on the bare toilet seat. Ur shit particles fly into the air so in public bathrooms since there's no toilet seat lid the particles land on the seat protectors and stuff. and when ur home u should put the top lid down after u pee or poop cause the shit particles can land on ur tooth brushes and that's gross lol(:
