  • I use a body pillow. Having a pillow between your legs helps to support your spinal alignment while you sleep. I started using the body pillow to relieve pain from a herniated disc.

    • You should consider taking White Willow Bark for your pain. It's very gentle, non-addictive, and it doesn't give you a high.

          • I don't see why you're offended. I said thank you.

I know you've got it in your head that I hate you, but that aactually has no bearing on reality.

        • If you can share some of that I'm listening. I wanna take good care of my spine cause my dad had two surgeries and the last one didn't go so well for him.

          • I see an osteopath once every four to six weeks (more often when it was really bad) exercise regularly (core strength in particular as my injury is lower back), use a foam roller for muscle pain, and when it gets unbearable, I take ibuprofen plus codeine and if that doesn't work, panadeine forte (paracetamol - forgot what you guys call that. Starts with a - plus codeine plus an antihistamine. Similar to whats in Nyquil i think, from memory). I only use meds as a last resort. If the panadeine forte (same level as tramadol - i cant take. Apparently im allergic - it paralyses me and makes me hallucinate while not killing pain at all) then the next step is Lyrica for the neuralgia.

Willow bark is what asprin is derived from. Thats not strong enough to kill nerve pain.

            • Acetaminophen. That's what you call paracetamol in America. Panadeine forte is 450mg acetaminophren/paracetamol, 30mg codeine phosphate and 5mg doxylamine succinate.

    • I have one too. I got it at this place called Relax the Back here in the states. I have Cervical Spondylosis in my upper back.

        • It's wear tear, osteoarthritis and bone spurs in the cervical spine(neck/upper spine). I hope I explained that okay. I just know I get pain In my upper back and sometimes it goes down to my shoulders, arms and hands, but I think that's also from myofascial pain.

I wanna get one of those inversion table thingies so I can hang upside down and take pressure off my discs. I also think I should be taking glucosamine chondroitin, calcium and Omega 3 fish oil supplements, I think.

          • Krill oil is meant to be better than glucosamine, I think, but I can't remember where I heard that or if I made it up :/

Careful with fish oil. Anything but the highehighest quality is basically useless. Its the EDA levels, I think. I can't remember. Need to see if I have a bottle at home still.
